Client Success StorY
I have an almost 2-year-old Boston Terrier that I've had since he was a baby. He started simple obedience classes at 12 weeks old and we quickly discovered he was reactive to other dogs. We immediately reached out to trainers and I started working with him as much as possible. He made a lot of progress and even received his Canine Good Citizen from the AKC but he still had so many issues that limited what I was able to do with him.
We recently completed Jamie's Calm, Cool, and Collected class and about a week later I took him to meet my friend's dog that will be camping with us a lot in the future and I had a true "proud mama" moment. I saw behaviors out of my dog that I honestly never thought I'd be able to see. He was able to relax and ignore the other dog completely. Even when they were both "loose" he was able to go into a settle with the other dog close by and sniffing him.
I 100% believe it was because of the things we learned in that class. Not only did he trust me enough to relax, I was able to read his cues and react. In the past I've been trying to teach him how to behave and correcting him for his behaviors. Now I have a better understanding of why he reacts, what his triggers are, and how to make him feel safe. I have had several people comment on how great our communication is now. I never thought he'd be able to just exist around other dogs. Jamie is amazing!

Jamie’s classes are just the right amount of all the things. Obedience, fitness, sports foundation, and tricks are incorporated into each lesson all while she offers helpful feedback to allow optimal learning for my dog and me. Her positivity in working with dogs and their owners and her ability to tailor training to individuals while in a class setting make any class she teaches well worth the time and money that you invest.

I am so happy to be working with Jamie! She has taught me so much about canine fitness and given me the tools I need for my three competition dogs. Jamie created thoughtful fitness plans, addressing their individual needs. Each plan is spot on, and my dogs are fit and strong. Jamie is patient during lessons and provides feedback in a way that allows me to help my dogs understand what I am asking them to do. I look forward to my lessons with Jamie – they’re informative and fun. She gives me confidence in my ability keep my dogs at the appropriate fitness level for the sports we enjoy.

I try really hard to keep up with the fitness that you taught me. I’ve even set up stations in my backyard a few times. I don’t do it daily, but several times a week most weeks. I still know that this is why Jayce is walking away from a day of 5 races without being sore. Thank you! You’re a fabulous teacher. You made the work relevant and easy to understand!
